The West Virginia Mountaineers, on the other hand, are coming in at 2-2 following a 16-13 defeat against the No. 4 ranked Oklahoma Sooners in week 4.  Quarterback Jared Doege took the reins for West Virginia, covering 160 yards through the air as he completed 20 passes out of 29 attempts.  The leader in receptions is wide receiver Bryce Ford-Wheaton with 93 receiving yards through eight catches.  WR Winston Wright Jr. contributed another seven receptions across 65 yards, while WR Sam James added 21 yards through five catches. 


The close game in week 4 was considered by many as one of WVU’s most impressive plays, however, the players holding up the secondary share the blame for their loss to Oklahoma.  Senior linebacker Josh Chandler-Semedo, was one of the leaders in the defensive end, along with cornerback Jackie Matthews.
