The San Diego State Aztecs are chasing for their 4-0 start in the NCAAF tournament after winning their first three outings this season. San Diego State is in 2nd place in the Mountain West Conference West Division with a 3-0 overall standing after winning two contests at home and one road game on the year. The Aztecs bested New Mexico State at 28-10 in the opener, crushed Arizona at 38-14 in week 2, and outmatched Utah at 33-31 in overtime on Saturday. San Diego State finished the regulation time with a tie at 24-all and pushed another equalizer at 31 points each in the first overtime and ended up with a two-point victory after the 3rd overtime period. The Aztecs dominated the running game for 204 to 70 yards but had difficulty in their passing for 44 to 257 yards for a total of 248 offensive yards on 3.9 yards per play.

QB Lucas Johnson had difficulty in his passing after completing 10 of his 19 attempted passes for only 44 yards with one touchdown and zero interception.
