Brian Kelly faces several challenges this week, but Notre Dame still has plenty of skill on both sides of the ball. If history is any indicator, both programs will have a tough fight on their hands.

The offensive line for the Irish was dreadful. Although Notre Dame dropped four starters from last season, practically every offensive lineman on the lineup was a four-star transfer out of high school. The Irish defense continues to allow big plays to be made. Surprisingly, Marcus Freeman’s defense did not allow a touchdown until the fourth quarter (Toledo produced a TD on Jack Coan’s pick-six).
