Ohio vs. Louisiana Pick Prediction 9/16/2021
Ohio at Louisiana—College football pick is Ohio Bobcats +20. Former head coach Frank Solich built good defensive teams during his tenure at Ohio. He retired two months prior to the start of the season with the Bobcats returning seventeen starters back from a team in 2020 that put up 34.3 points and allowed 16.7 points per game. Ohio had averaged 34 points or greater in four straight seasons. Both teams suffered 20 points losses to an FBS opponent and were involved in close games against their FBS opponent. Ohio is rushing for 4.9 yards per carry this season and quarterback Kurtis Rourke completing 70% of his passes for 7.2 yards per pass attempt. Louisiana has not had success running the football this year posting only 2.8 yards per carry. Defensively it has not been good as the Ragin Cajuns are allowing 475 yards per game with 312 I the passing game for 9.9 yards per attempt. In their three point win to FCS Nichols State, the Ragin Cajuns surrendered 511 yards with 359 yards in the passing game. The offense could only convert on 5 of 14 on third down running for 2.9 yards a carry against FCS Nichols State. Those defensive and run numbers don’t equate to laying twenty here. Play Ohio +20.
Minnesota vs. Colorado Pick Prediction 9/18/2021
Minnesota at Colorado—College football pick is Colorado Buffalos -2. Colorado has defended well this year with a 35-7 win to Northern Colorado and dropping a 10-7 decision to Texas A&M in Denver. They held the Aggies to 294 yards. The run game for the Buffaloes is generating 5.3 yards per carry and on defense they are limiting opponents to 2.8 per rush. Golden Gophers have a home loss to Ohio St allowing 45 points and got past Miami Ohio from the MAC 31-26. In their win against the Red Hawks the Golden Gophers produced only 292 yards of offense. Minnesota senior quarterback Tanner Morgan is completing only 52.4% of his passes after going 8 of 17 for 112 yards against Miami Ohio of the MAC. Golden Gophers did lose their star running back for the season in their loss to Ohio St. Quarterback play isn’t much to write home about for Colorado as well. But at least they are defending better and the Buffaloes could do damage on a Minnesota defense allowing 5.4 yards per rush and 10 yards per attempted pass. Play Colorado -2.

USC at Washington St—College football pick is USC Trojans -8. Shake up for USC as head coach Clay Helton is fired after a poor showing in a loss to Stanford last week. But Stanford is in the PAC 12 North so the Trojans still control their destiny for a Rose Bowl berth. Offensively the Trojans are moving the football for 412 yards getting production on the ground with 172 yards and 5.1 per rush. Washington St has lost four straight and six of seven against FBS opponent. It was a horrible home opener for the Cougars losing to a down Utah ST team 26-23. Washington St defense allowed a down Mountain West team to run for 222 yards and 4.8 yards per rush. USC too skilled offensively and will exploit Washington St defense. Play USC -8.
Alabama vs. Florida Pick Prediction 9/18/2021
Alabama at Florida—College football free pick is Alabama Crimson Tide -14.5. Florida opened with USF and FAU posting big wins. This is an inexperienced Gator team returning five starters on offense and defense. Sophomore quarterback Emory Jones has thrown four interceptions. Gators against soft competition is allowing 224 yards passing a game with 12.5 yards per completion. Alabama had the biggest test of these two teams and came away with a 44-13 dominating win against an experienced Miami team returning nineteen starters.
