The Arkansas Razorbacks will try to continue their success and target their first 2-0 start since the 2016 season after week 2 of the 2021 college football action. Arkansas beat the Rice Owls in the season opener at 38-17 on Saturday. After that triumph, the Razorbacks took 5th place in the Southeastern Conference with a 1-0 overall standing after their first home victory this season. Arkansas trailed a 7-10 lead by Rice in the first half but rallied in the second half with a 31-point blast in the win. The Razorbacks outmatched the Owls with their running game for 245 rushing yards with a total of 373 offensive yards for 5.7 yards per play. Arkansas made 65 total plays with 6 punts and one interception thrown in the winning effort.

 

QB KJ Jefferson completed 57% of his pass attempts for 128 yards with one touchdown but intercepted once in the victory. DB Jalen Catalon augmented the backfield with 11 total tackles and 2 interceptions.
