So all eyes are on the quarterback battle between Jacob Eason, Sam and Ehlinger. Indianapolis defense has been good in the preseason holding opponents to 275 yards and 14 points per game. Lions have now lost nine of their past ten preseason games. Offensively they have performed poorly averaging 275 yards per game and only 5.3 yards per pass attempt. Defensively the Lions are surrendering 238 passing yards, 68.2% completion rate and 7.2 yards per pass attempt. With the Colts looking for a starter in Week 1 they will be focused here. Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Carolina Panthers Pick Prediction 8/27/2021

Haskins will start and is playing for a spot on the Steelers. But on defense Carolina surrendering 390 yards with 248 passing, 70% completion rate and 7.1 per attempt. Not a fan of the Panthers quarterback rotation in Sam Darnold, P.J. Walker and Will Grier. Panthers have lost both preseason games averaging 10.5 points per game. Steelers have won 12 of their past 15 preseason games covering 11 of those games. Play Pittsburgh +4.

But in fairness they have played a tough schedule drawing the Patriots and Steelers in the preseason who both sport strong quarterback rotations for the preseason. Eagles a monster step down in class here facing the Jets. Eagles quarterback rotation Jalen Hurts, Joe Flacco and Nick Mullens prefer. Jets quarterback rotation is Zach Wilson, Mike White, James Morgan and Josh Johnson. White is dealing with a rib injury. Jets defense took a hit in training camp with injuries. Play Philadelphia +4.

Vikings at Chiefs—NFL pick is Kansas City Chiefs -4. Minnesota offensive play has been poor this preseason. They are averaging 236 yards per game with 122 passing, 46.7% completion rate and only 4.1 yards per attempt. Backups have performed poorly behind Cousins in Kellen Mond and Jake Browning. Chiefs are moving the football in preseason as they average 358 yards per game with 250 passing, 70% completion rate and six yards per attempt. KC is getting production from their backup quarterbacks in Chad Henne, Anthony Gordon and Shane Buechele. Minnesota defense in the preseason is surrendering 225 yards per passing per game with 7.3 per attempt. Denver threw for 249 yards and three touchdown passes on the Vikings last week.
