The continuance of NFL’s Week 2 preseason exhibition games will be held at the Houston Texans’ home base, the AT&T Stadium.  As they host the Dallas Cowboys in this Saturday’s game, the Houston Texans are looking forward to claiming another victory after facing the Green Bay Packers last Sunday.  The Cowboys drop to 0-2 after being defeated by the Arizona Cardinals in the preseason exhibition.

The Houston Texans reigned victorious during the preseason, which essentially wrapped up with 23 unrefuted points.  The team managed to cover a total of 319 yards and 242 allowed yards.  Leading the Texans was QB Davis Mills, passing 112 yards and intercepting one pass.  The combined efforts of Tyrod Taylor and Jeff Driskel summed up a whopping 42 yards, while Nico Collins and Chris Conley’s combined receiving yards recorded at 75.  Texans’ RB Scottie Phillips produced a total of 66 rushing yards and pinned one touchdown.  The defensive end was led by Hardy Nickerson after making four tackles, while Jonathan Greenard dropped one sack and Tremon Smith intercepted one pass.  Overall, Houston makes up an impressive lineup of players during the opening week of the exhibition games, having played well in terms of offense and defense.

Houston Texans vs Dallas Cowboys Predictions 8/21/2021

The Dallas Cowboys, on the other hand, need to put in extra effort as their two preseason games have already gone down the drain. In a vain attempt, the Cowboys were able to cover a total span of 323 yards, while allowing 325 yards.  Cowboys’ QB Cooper Rush took the reins for Dallas, producing 89 passing yards over 13 attempts, while Ben DiNucci and Garrett Gilbert both had a combined passing yard of 126 and a single touchdown.  Add to that, JaQuan Hardy covered 32 rushing yards over eight carries, with Reggie Davis and Cedrick Wilson’s combined 72 receiving yards.  Jabril Cox led the defensive line, who tackled eight times, while Dorance Armstrong made a couple of sacks and Steven Parker deflected one pass.  This impressive display of defense kept the Cowboys afloat throughout the past two games, however, their offensive strategy needs a lot of work.  Hopefully, with the comeback of QB Dak Prescott, the team might be able to get back on its feet when the regular season commences.

The Dallas Cowboys are at 0-3-1 ATS during their previous four Saturday matches and at 5-11 ATS during their previous five games.  The play is UNDER at 5-0 in their last five games.

Houston Texans vs Dallas Cowboys. The Texans are not the obvious pick between these two, and it would be unexpected if they can play similarly as last week.  However, the Cowboys are also unremarkable – offensive-wise.  As a matter of fact, the Cowboys gave up a total of eight preseason games out of ten.  That being said, the Houston Texans would be the wiser choice between the two predicted to win to a score of 21-17.
