Rays have shown some weakness in their bullpen and on the road. White Sox will be the major threat but Giolito has not been himself this season. Astros at 55-36 hold a 3.5 game lead on the Oakland Athletics for first place in the AL West. Oakland has issues hitting at home and in the bullpen. The path looks clear for the Astros to get win the American League but +250 isn’t enough value to place the wager. Astros have the best offense in Major League Baseball sitting first in runs and batting average. Team is seventh in homers. They are the best defensive team in the game and sit fifth in quality starts. Their pitching staff is deep with veteran Zack Greinke with Luis Garcia and Lance McCuller Jr. Framber Valdez has put up great numbers. Astros utilized their fourth and fifth starters well in relief appearances in the postseason. That is a role possible for Jose Urquidy and Jake Odorizzi. Christian Javier is another option for quality innings in the playoffs. Ryan Pressley has saved 16 of 17 games. Former Dodger reliever Pedro Baez expected to return at the end of the month and in early August third baseman Alex Bregman returns.
