But they did manage to get a ticket to the EUROs through the UEFA Nations League, where they first overcame Israel and then Serbia (eliminated them both in the penalty shoot-out) in order to reach the EUROs.

The Czech Republic have been steadily improving over the past couple of years, and they have cause quite a few upsets in their path. The most recent upset came in the form of a 1-1 draw against Belgium in the 2022 World Cup Qualifiers. They started the Qualifiers with a tremendous 6-2 win over Estonia, followed by the Draw against Belgium, but then they lost by 1-0 against Wales, in a match where they could have easily grabbed at least one point. Prior to that they managed to finish at the top of their Nations League group (4 wins, 2 losses) against Scotland, Israel and Slovakia. The Czech Republic also did a fine job in the 2020 EURO Qualifiers, where they finished at the 2nd spot behind England with 5 wins and 3 losses.
