Their midfield also has a lot of talent from the Bundesliga, while their attack features names like Marko Arnautovic and RB Leipzig’s Marcel Sabitzer.

Austria topped their group in the Nations League back in December, but they made a mediocre start in the World Cup Qualifiers with a win, a loss and a draw in their first three matches.

However, they did a solid job in the EURO Qualifiers, finishing 2nd in their group behind Poland with 6 wins, 3 losses and a draw. They scored 19 goals and conceded 9 in the process, with Marko Arnautovic being their top goalscorer with 6 goals and 2 assists. One of their opponents in that group was North Macedonia, whom they will face again in the EUROs. Austria won both matches against them and they will look for another win that would give them great qualification chances in this group.

Austria are very dangerous in set pieces, as many players in the squad are very tall and they got one of the best set piece takers in Bayern Munich’s David Alaba (who will move to Real Madrid in the next season). However, their defense is kind of slow and they might have problems against a pacey Netherlands attack.

As for some Austrian props, it’s David Alaba and Marcel Sabitzer who will be the most influential players in this squad, so I expect them to create a lot of chances for their team.
