On the part of Texas, the team defeated the Tampa Bay Rays in the opener of a series at 5-4 on Friday. However, the Rangers kneeled to the Rays at 0-3 on Saturday and 1-7 on Sunday to surrender the series at 1-2. In their recent loss, Texas pitching staff allowed a total of nine hits and two earned runs while awarding five free bases but struck out ten batters of the Rays. Third Baseman Brock Holt led the charge with one run and a double hit in the loss.
