DC United made a good start in the 2021 season when they beat New York City by 2-1 at home. However, they played a really mediocre match on the road against New England, where they scored an own goal at the start of the second half and eventually lost by 1-0. In their most recent match they were destroyed by a harsh 4-1 on the road against San Jose. It was also a balanced match in terms of scoring chances and shots on target, but San Jose were much more accurate. DC United had the worst home record in the Eastern Conference last season, and the 6th worst away record with 3 wins, 6 losses and 2 draws in 11 matches. They scored 13 goals and conceded 20 in the process and had an average of exactly 3 goals per away match.
