Club de Foot Montreal emerged victorious from their Canadian battle against Toronto FC. They took an early lead at just the 3rd minute with Toye, and scored another goal at the 24th minute with Quioto. Toronto FC cut their lead down to 1 goal with a successful penalty kick at the 45th minute, but Montreal did great in the second half. They scored a 3rd goal at the 55th with Wanyama and another at the 71st with Mihailovic before conceding a late, and quite harmless, goal for the final 4-2 win. Montreal were mediocre on the road last season, winning 4, losing 5 and drawing 1 match, with 17 goals and 22 conceded.
