Chiefs vs. Buccaneers—NFL pick is Kansas City Chiefs -3. KC has lost only one meaningful game this year as their loss in Week 17 meant nothing with starters sitting. Chiefs perform better on third down than Tampa Bay. It was the KC defense that looked like it was hitting their peak in their AFC Championship win against the Browns. They were flying on the field looking faster and fitter anytime this season. They had a bye week entering the playoffs and a bye week after two playoff games. Even Week 17 the team rested starters. In the playoffs the Buccaneers defense gave up 375 yards to Washington and it was a one possession game late. They allowed 381 yards to the Packers and despite building a huge lead it became a one possession game during most of the fourth quarter. Tom Brady had some bad moments in that Packers win. KC speed on defense the difference here. They make more stops than the Bucs on the talented Chiefs offense led by Patrick Mahomes and his weapons in the running plus passing game. Play KC -3.
