Louisville at Georgia Tech—College football pick is Louisville Cardinals -4.5. Cardinals look to rebound after back to back losses to strong teams in Pittsburgh and Miami. Cardinals did move the football for 518 yards on the Hurricanes and 487 yards to Western Kentucky. Team is good inside the red zone. Defensively they have limited opponents to 4.1 yards per run. This is a step down in class to face the Georgia Tech defense. Georgia Tech comes off a bad loss at a down Syracuse team last week 37-20. Defensively the Yellow Jackets are allowing 441 yards with 269 passing. Yellow Jackets quarterback Jeff Sims has three touchdowns but eight interceptions. Their kicking game has been poor with one made field goal in five attempts. Play Louisville -4.5.
Miami vs. Clemson Pick Prediction 10/10/2020
Miami at Clemson—College football free pick is Miami Hurricanes +14. Hurricanes have won and covered all three after they pounded rival Florida St 52-10 behind 517 yards of offense. They do come off a bye week to get ready for the Tigers. D’Eriq King has played well the past two games as the Hurricanes threw for 325 yards on Louisville and 317 on the Seminoles. King is a duel threat quarterback and is averaging 5.6 yards per rush. He has weapons in the passing game for deep patterns and short passes than can go for long gains. Miami run game generating 5.9 yards per carry so there is balance to keep the Tigers defense off balance. Clemson has won but failed to cover all three of their games this year. This can be a 7, 10 or 13 point margin and getting the +14 covers. Play Miami +14.
UTEP vs. Louisiana Tech Pick Prediction 10/10/2020
UTEP at Louisiana Tech—Free pick is UTEP Miners +14. UTEP has shown improvement as the team is 3-1 but two of those wins to FCS schools. Last week they traveled to Louisiana Monroe and came away with a 31-6 win. UTEP posted 512 yards on the Warhawks defense rushing for 210 yards. Defensively they limited UL Monroe to 193 yards offensively. Louisiana Tech were pounded 45-14 at BYU last week. They needed a closing second touchdown pass to beat a down Southern Miss team. But it is too difficult to lay two touchdowns on a Louisiana Tech team that is allowing 469 yards on defense. This is an inexperienced Bulldogs team on offense, and they returned only two starters to their defense. Rather take points as the Miners showed enough improvement to their offense. Play UTEP +14.
