UTEP at Louisiana Monroe—College football pick is UTEP Miners +9.5. Tough to back UL Monroe. After a 30 points loss to Army the Warhawks hosted Texas St and were pounded at home 38-17. UL Monroe offense generating only 2.3 yards per carry on the ground. Defensively Warhawks have been weak against the run allowing 289 yards per contest with 5.6 yards per carry. UTEP showed good defensive performance in their two wins this season that came against FCS schools. Warhawks inexperienced on offense and this program has not made a bowl game in seven seasons. Rather take points. Play UTEP +9.5.

Duke vs. Virginia—College football free pick is Virginia Cavaliers -6. Virginia has won and covered all four meetings against Duke under head coach Bronco Mendenhall. Blue Devils struggles on offense continued. After scoring only 13 points at Notre Dame in their opener they were held to only 6 points at home to Boston College. Red Zone execution has been a major hurdle for this Blue Devils team. This is an experienced Virginia team on defense and on offense the team returns all five to their offensive line. Blue Devils have lost seven of eight dating back to last season. Three wins by the Cavaliers in their past four meetings came by double digits and one result was a victory by seven points. Georgia vs. Arkansas—Free pick is Georgia Bulldogs and Arkansas Razorbacks to play under the total of 52.5 points. Georgia is inexperienced on offense with three starters back. Transfer quarterback Jamie Newman opted out. It will be a game time decision between transfer JT Daniels or a red shirt freshman under center. Georgia will be strong defensively again in 2020 as this unit returns eight starters. More stable coaching ranks for Georgia than Arkansas. Razorbacks head coach Sam Pittman makes his debut. He inherits a 2-10 team from last year. This was an offense that struggled moving the football and scoring. Razorbacks will struggle to score in this spot. Pittman was a former assistant with Georgia last year so Kirby Smart may not look to run up the score. Play Georgia and Arkansas under 52.5 points.

Texas St at Boston College—College Football pick is Texas St Bobcats +18. Could be a look ahead spot for BC in this spot at Clemson is on deck so the Eagles may not want to show too much in this game. Texas St has shown the ability to move the football and put points on the board by averaging 36.7 points per game. Bobcats quarterback Tyler Vitt is completing 66.7% of his passes as his offense I putting up 277 yards per game through the air. Bobcats experienced on offense with the quarterback, leading rusher an all but one receiver back from last year. Issue for BC has been their pass defense as they surrendered 300 yards to a Duke team utilizing a first year starter under center. South Florida vs. Florida Atlantic Pick Prediction 9/26/2020
USF at FAU—College football free pick is South Florida +3.5. USF fell to 1-1 after their loss to Notre Dame last week. But the Bulls take a huge step down in class facing FAU. This is a Bulls team that has had success moving the football on the ground averaging 204 rushing yards for 5.7 yards per attempt. FAU makes their debut after a COVID postponement last week. There is not much stability with the Owls as Willie Taggart is a first year head coach with the program. They also have to break in a first year starting quarterback as Chris Robison last year’s starter left the program approaching the season. This is an inexperienced defense returning only three starters. This is a situation where conditioning could be an issue with FAU making their debut and the Bulls playing their third game. USF will test the inexperience front seven of FAU that loses six starters by running the football. Play South Florida +3.5.
Alabama vs. Missouri Pick Prediction 9/26/2020
Alabama vs. Missouri—Free pick is Alabama Crimson Tide -27 points. Nick Saben does a good job of getting his teams ready for the season. Crimson Tide has won five straight openers covering the spread in each game. Last year it was 42-3 against Duke, 2018 it was 51-14 to Louisville, 2017 score was 24-7 to Florida St, 2016 a 52-6 win to USC and in 2015 a 35-17 win to Wisconsin. Not a stable coaching situation for Missouri as Eli Drinkwitz starts his first season with the Tigers and return only four starters on offense. They miss two of their three top receivers from last year. Crimson Tide quarterback Mac Jones saw starting work for an injured Tua last season. Jones has his top three running backs, top receiver in DeVonta Smith and four offensive lineman back from last season. Play Alabama -27.
