Georgia St vs. Charlotte—College football pick is Georgia St Panthers -1. There is concern for Charlotte as their offensive line has been hit with COVID concerns and had to cancel last week’s game against North Carolina. Georgia St was competitive against a good Louisiana team covering last week as an underdog in an overtime defeat. Panthers were a bowl team last year and experienced and returning eight on offense and defense. There is stability in the program as Shawn Elliot is in his fourth season as head coach. Charlotte fell to Appalachian St in their opener 35-20 but finished with only 286 yards getting outgained by 226 yards. Quarterback play poor as Chris Reynolds hit on 11 of 30 passes for 147 yards and two interceptions. 49ers are inexperienced on the offensive line and secondary. They were very poor against the run last year allowing 4.9 yards per attempt. They surrendered 308 yards on the ground and 6.2 yards per attempt to the Mountaineers. Play Georgia St -1.

FIU at Liberty—College football free pick is Liberty Flames -7. Head coach Butch Davis of FIU will have his work cut out for him. The Golden Panthers return only four starters on offense and six to the defense. They lose their starting quarterback, top running backs and three of their four receivers. Tough spot for FIU as they make their debut against a Liberty team with a game under their belt in a win against a good program in Western Kentucky. Auburn transfer quarterback Malik Willis has a running style as he rushed for 168 yards and three touchdowns in the win. Flames did a good job of defending the Hilltoppers allowing only 291 yards with 3.5 yards per rush. Head coach Hugh Freeze is in his second season at the school and led them last year to an 8-5 record with a bowl victory. Play Liberty -7.
Iowa St vs. TCU Pick Prediction 9/26/2020
Iowa St at TCU—Free pick is Iowa St and TCU to play under the total of 47 points. TCU resorted to the ground last year as the passing game struggled. Now they are without starting quarterback Max Duggan to medical reasons. Both teams are experienced on defense and inexperienced on the offensive side of the football. Each head coach will lean defensively in this game. First game of the season for TCU so expect head coach Greg Patterson to try and shorten this game on the ground running clock playing field position to keep the defense strong.
