Augsburg and Cologne will attempt to secure a victory to keep themselves safe from the threat of relegation with five games remaining in the tournament. Coming off two-goal losses last week, the two squads will hope to bounce back and gain the all-important three points in this crucial stage of the competition. Despite coming into the match with an inferior team standing, Augsburg are favored to claim the victory and move up the table. In their last game against RB Leipzig, Jhon Cordoba handed Cologne the early lead in the seventh minute but their defense blew it up 13 minutes later. Patrik Schick, Christopher Nkunku and Timo Werner slotted goals in a 30-minute span for Leipzig to make it 3-1. Cologne’s Anthony Modeste trimmed the gap to one with a 55-minute strike but Leipzig responded quickly and sealed the deal with a Dani Olmo goal in the 57th. The result brought down Cologne to 12th as Eintracht Frankfurt earned a victory over Werder Bremen. With 12 goals scored in the season, Cordoba will serve as the focal point for Cologne’s offense and he will be ably supported by Sebastiaan Bornauw, Jonas Hector and Florian Kainz. Timo Horn is expected to get a start in the goalkeeper position as he had six clean sheets and 76 saves during the tournament. Cologne have a 4-6 ATS record over the past 10 games, including a 2-2 ATS Away mark. Over/under has been friendly for them as they are 8-0-2. They hold an O/U Away record of 2-0-2.
