We took a deep dive into some home court trends regard playing over the total. Three of the top four teams trending over the total at home are teams that do not have a strong home court advantage.

This is a team that has made the playoffs once in the past eleven seasons and lost much of their fanbase playing in front of empty seats. They play the third worst field goal defense at home in the league surrendering 48% from the field with teams making 36.5% from three against them. Team sits 27th in defensive efficiency at home. They do shoot well on the home court hitting on 46.9% and 37.4% from beyond the arc.
Miami has played to over at home 68.8% of the time. They have a good home record at 27-5. They are the best shooting team on their home court where they connect on 48.7% with 40.9% from three point range. They average 8.4 points more at home then on the road. Huge discrepancy for Miami scoring and shooting home and away. Offensive and defensive efficiency contributes heavily into over under results. Heat plays offensively efficient at home averaging 116.6 points per 100 possessions which is the best in the NBA. On the road Miami is 20th in offensive efficiency with just 107.9 points per 100 possessions. That is a huge home road split discrepancy.
