The 2020 Mid-American Conference Tournament starts off on Monday with four first round games, one of which is the No. 5 Buffalo Bulls hosting the No. 12 Miami-Ohio RedHawks at the Alumni Center in Getzville. Buffalo finished the regular season with a conference record of 11-7 while Miami-Ohio had the worst record in the conference at 5-13. The Bulls swept the season series with the RedHawks but both games were close.

It should also be noted that besides sweeping the season series this year, the Bulls are 7-3 in their last ten games against the RedHawks, averaging 78.4 points on 44.5% shooting from the field.

On the other hand, Miami-Ohio had the worst record in the Mid-American Conference this season at 5-13. They are still in the tournament but they have to play their best game of the season on Monday if they want to move to the next round. They ended their regular season with a close 67-65 loss to the Ohio Bobcats last Friday. C Bam Bowman led the team in defeat with 17 points and five rebounds while G Dae Dae Grant added 13 points. The bench had a total of 28 points but it was not enough to help the team get the win.

The RedHawks are one of the worst road teams in the nation as they were just 1-11 this season. They are averaging 65.9 points and 33.1 rebounds per game while shooting 39.1% from the field, 32.5% from beyond the arc and 69.7% from the charity stripe.
