Their hopes for a New Years Six bowl berth were dashed in a 54-48 road loss at Memphis. Expect to see a letdown from the Mustangs after that emotional loss on ABC TV in prime time last week. SMU defense against the AAC is allowing 32 points and 427 yards per game. East Carolina has been competitive covering four of their past five games after a three point home loss to Cincinnati.
