Kansas vs. Duke College Basketball Pick Prediction 11/5/2019

Kansas vs. Duke—College basketball pick is Duke Blue Devils -2. Four starters leave from last year but their point guard stays. Sophomore Tre Jones is on a mission. Instead of testing the waters of the NBA draft like the four starters from last year’s team he immediately decided to return to the school to do what his brother did. And that is win an NCAA college basketball championship. That emotion spreads to the youth of this team and creates a winning culture. Jones averaged 34 minutes and nine points per game. He is an excellent defender. Zion and RJ Barrett were the top two contributors from last year and have fled to the NBA. Jones now can show leadership and help this freshman class through this season. Freshman shooting guard is Cassius Stanley. Wendell Moore, Matthew Hurt and Vernon Carey are the four freshman projected to start alongside point guard Tre Jones. Duke exited the NCAA Tourmanet in a one point defeat to Michigan St in the Elite Eight. Kansas returns three starters from a ten loss team from a season ago. Players exiting were scorers in Lagerald Vick and Dedric Lawson. Vick did leave the team in early February. They were eliminated in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. They failed to win the Big 12 regular season crown for the first time in 14 seasons. Jayhawks big center Udoka Azubuike is back after missing much of the season with a torn ligament on his wrist. Silvio De Sousa returns from suspension for the Jayhawks. But here is turmoil with the Kansas program right now as head coach Bill Self is in the middle of it for his lack of institutional control. Play Duke -2.

Michigan St vs. Kentucky College Basketball Pick Prediction 11/5/2019

Michigan St vs. Kentucky—College basketball free pick is Michigan St Spartans -2.5. Spartans made a deep run into the NCAA Tournament last season making it as far as the Final Four before being ousted by a great defensive team in Texas Tech. Returning this year to the Spartans is their starting back court in senior point guard Cassius Winston and shooting guard Jeremy Langford. Winston has started the point since his sophomore campaign and split time as a freshman. Langford returns from injury and is a good perimeter shooter. The rest of the lineup is filled with talented players who saw significant action last season during their Final Four run. A strong culture of winning with defense has been taught by head coach Tom Izzo. Kentucky returns one starter from a season ago. Only point guard Ashton Hagans returns from a season ago. Hagans remains at Kentucky because he lacked consistency. The rest of the projected starters for Kentucky are not all freshman. Coach Calipari has spread minutes to his players the past few seasons. The top recruits don’t all land in Kentucky anymore as teams like Duke have ventured into the business of one and done recruiting. Prefer the experience of Michigan St in this spot as the Wildcats peak in the later half of the season. Play Michigan St -2.5.
