Purdue at Iowa—Free pick is Iowa Hawkeyes -18. A step down in class for Iowa after facing Michigan and Penn St in back to back games. Hawkeyes have pounded the poor defensive teams they have meet this season. At home Iowa moves the football for 475 yards runs for 207 yards for 5.1 yards per rush. Senior quarterback Nate Stanley at home has completed 62.7% of his passes with nine touchdowns and a pick. Tough task for Purdue freshman quarterback Jack Plummer in a road game facing a good Iowa defense that holds opponents to 220 yards per game in their home stadium. Wisconsin at Illinois—College football pick is Wisconsin Badgers -31. Wisconsin coming off a 38-0 home win to Michigan St. They beat Michigan 35-14 at home. Kansas at Texas—College football pick is Kansas Jayhawks +22. Jayhawks have covered three straight against the Longhorns. They do come off the bye week following a cover at home to Oklahoma. Jayhawks can slow the game down on the ground as the team is rushing for 4.9 yards per rush with 33 carries per game. Senior quarterback Carter Stanley is completing 65% of his passes with 12 touchdowns and 4 picks. Issue here is with the Texas defense. They are giving up 453 yards per game. West Virginia gained 463 yards on the Longhorns and Louisiana Tech 413 yards. Oklahoma St did gain 494 yards on Texas. Nevada at Utah St—Free pick is Nevada +21. Utah St returns home after a blowout road loss at LSU. Many of their games have been close. They couldn’t cover at home to Colorado St winning 34-24 and has a six point win at San Diego St. Aggies are surrendering 281 yards passing this season. They have won four of six this season with a home win to Purdue. They piled up 541 yards on San Jose St last week in their win. Aggies defense may not be able to keep Nevada down in scoring. Wolf Pack has shown the ability to move the ball through the air. Play Nevada +21.

Air Force at Hawaii—College football pick is Air Force and Hawaii to play over the total of 63.5 points. This game has the look of a high scoring game. Teams are rushing for 5.7 yards per attempt and completing 69.2% of their passes. Houston with sophomore quarterback Charlie Tune under center traveled to North Texas and came away with a 46-25 win. On the season Houston is rushing for 242 yards per game with 6.2 yards per rush. They will exploit the poor UCONN rush defense. Play Houston -22.
