Army vs. Michigan Pick Prediction 9/7/2019

Army vs. Michigan–College football pick is Michigan Wolverines -22. Army showed their inexperience on defense as they struggled with the Rice ground game giving up 181 rushing yards for six yards per rush. Michigan had success on the ground against Florida Atlantic in their opener rushing for 233 yards for 5.2 yards per run. Army generated only 14 points on a weak Rice team last week. Now the Black Knights face a stout Wolverines defense on the road. Shea Patterson completed 17 of 29 passes for 203 yards and three touchdowns. Michigan is moving to an up tempo passing game and with success on the ground it could lead to big plays in the passing game. Army brings back only four starters on defense. Play Michigan -22.

Miami vs. North Carolina Pick Prediction 9/7/2019

Miami vs. North Carolina—College football free pick is North Carolina +4.5. Tar Heels coming off an impressive win against South Carolina in their opener played on a neutral field. Mack Brown returned to coaching and his team and staff made the adjustments at halftime outscoring the Gamecocks 18-7. North Carolina did a good job on third down holding South Carolina to 3 of 12 conversions. Miami fell to Florida in their opener. Hurricanes had major issues on their offensive line as both their right and left tackles struggled providing protection for freshman quarterback Jarren Williams. Hurricanes struggled with their ground game with only 2.6 yards per rush on 35 carries. There are three sophomores and a redshirt freshman on the Hurricanes offensive line. Tar Heels have experience at receiver and linebacker. Tar Heels rolled up 483 yards on the Gamecocks defense and got production through the air with Sam Howell going 15 of 24 for 245 yards with two touchdowns. Play North Carolina +4.5.

Tulane vs. Auburn—Free pick is Tulane Green Wave +18. Tulane is a good football team. A bowl team last year comes off the 42-14 home win to a Butch Davis FIU team. Green Wave put up 545 yards of offense with 350 rushing for 7.1 yards per rush. Quarterback Justin McMillan hit 14 of 18 passes for 199 yards and two touchdowns. Quarterback Justin McMillan returns for his senior season at quarterback along with his senior tailback. He completed 14 of 18 for 199 yards and two touchdowns in the win. Green Wave defense returns their entire defensive line from last year and held the Golden Panthers to 59 yards on the ground for 2.3 yards per rush. Their defense returns eight starters. Auburn got past Oregon in their opener. Freshman quarterback Bo Nix was only 13 of 31 passing. Tulane generates enough offense to cover this big number. Play Tulane Green Wave +18.

Vanderbilt vs. Purdue—College football pick is Purdue Boilermakers -7. Look for the Boilermakers to bounce back from their loss at Nevada in their opener. They did move the football for 519 yards getting good performance from junior quarterback Elijah Sindelar who hit on 34 of 52 passes for 423 yards. They will clean up the five turnovers. This is an experienced Boilermakers defense that returns nine starters on defense. Vanderbilt lost a four year starter at quarterback in Kyle Shurmur. This is not an experienced Commodores defense returning five starters on defense. Ball St transfer Riley Neal did not have a good game in the opener against Georgia going 14 of 25 for 85 yards with a miserable 3 of 14 on third down. Purdue has the better offense and is at home. Play Purdue -7.

Northern Illinois vs. Utah—College football free pick Utah Utes -21.5. Utah enters their home opener after traveling to rival BYU in their opener coming away with a 30-12 win. Utes had a strong run attack rushing for 262 yards for 5.5 yards per run. Past three season Utes have been a good favorite covering 14 of 21. Utes have seven starters back on offense and to their defense. Senior quarterback Tyler Huntley returns with many playmakers in the passing game. Utes have their front four on the defensive line returning. Huskies fell to the Utes at home in their meeting last season 17-6. Northern Illinois offense struggled in a 24-10 home win to FCS Illinois St. Only 17 points came from the Huskies offense. NIU had only a 2.6 yards per rush carry on 35 rushing and only 3 of 15 on third down. Play Utah -21.5.

Southern Miss vs. Mississippi St Pick Prediction 9/7/2019

Southern Miss at Mississippi St—Free pick is Southern Miss +17. This is an experienced Golden Eagles team returning ten starters on offense. New Mexico St vs. Alabama—College football pick is New Mexico St Aggies +55 points. Under Nick Saban the Crimson Tide has been favored by 50 points or greater and have failed to cover each game.
