NBA Playoff Betting Preview Game 2 Detroit Pistons at Cleveland Cavaliers
The Detroit Pistons will look to even the series in Game 2 with their game with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Tip off time is scheduled for Tuesday at 8PM Eastern Time with TNT Televising. The LVSC send out number for the second game of this series has the Cleveland Cavaliers favored by 11 ½ with the over under coming in at 178. The early money has saw action on the underdog Pistons as Cleveland is currently lined as an 11-point favorite. The betting public has bet the total down, as the over under is currently 177 ½.
Cleveland took game 1 102-84 off the strength of Lebron James’ 38 points and 7 assists from the field. Cleveland shot just under 53% from the field and had a commanding 12-point lead at halftime. The Cavaliers also held a 34-31 rebounding advantage over the Pistons in the first game of this series. On the Pistons side they struggled from the field hitting on only 2-12 from the three-point line. Rasheed Wallace took only 10 shots from the field. The Pistons starting guard tandem of Richard Hamilton and Rod Stuckey combined for 35 of the Pistons 78 shots from the field and hitting on only 13 of those shots. For the Pistons to have success in game 2 they will need to get the ball down in the post more to Rasheed Wallace. Tayshaun Prince had only 4 points in game 1 and is sporting sore ribs, which he injured on the Piston’s final regular season game against the Miami Heat. The frustrating part for the Pistons is that the Cavaliers are getting production from Lebron James’ supporting cast. The Cavaliers had 5 players score in double figures and got 22 points off their bench. Despite suffering a sprained patella tendon in his left knee Cleveland forward-center Ben Wallace saw action off the bench in game 1. Wallace gives the Cavaliers a weapon in the low post defensively but his poor free throw shooting makes him an offensive liability late in games.
Trend: The Under is 14-5 in their past 19 meetings
