MLB Milwaukee Brewers @ Boston Red Sox Preview
By Tony T | May 16, 2008
Milwaukee (Bush) @ Boston (Wakefield) (O/U 9 ½)(3:55PM ET) (FOX)
Dave Bush turned in a good effort against the Cardinals giving up only 1 earned run in 6 innings in victory. It may have helped that Bush was staked to a 5 run lead. Bush has been inconsistent this season sporting an ERA over 6 on the season. That quality start against the Cards came at home and Bush has been torched on the road with an ERA at 7.36 and a record of 0-3. Wakefield was roughed up in his last start surrendering 7 earned runs in 2 2/3rd’ innings against the Twins. The Red Sox have been struggling losers of four in a row through last Wednesday’s action. Their pitching has gone south in that stretch allowing 27 runs. With Bush getting shelled on the road this season and against a potent Red Sox lineup we should see some scoring in this game from the home team. Wakefield walks a lot of runners so the Brewers will score enough in this ballgame to take this game over the total. Play over 9 ½ runs.
Selection: OVER 9 ½ runs.
